Nashville Scene: The Spin | May 15, 2008 | “Dubla, Juskwam and JingoBa bent our brains with their fast, tri-vocal flows, which might have been too heavy and verbose for most of the punters to follow, but still got the club cranking.”

  • Natural Signs Wildfires

by BlacKring   This album was conceived and recorded in Post-Katrina New Orleans during the [ongoing] recovery effort. It speaks about the prevalent natural warning signs occurring everyday around the world and forwards those signs to the listener. The signs are here, and now as much as they were the days these songs were recorded. Open your eyes; and listen!

  • Nashville Scene

Nashville Scene | May 08, 2008 “New Orleans’ Dubla, Juskwam and JingoBa create bluesy, soulful tracks that have more in common with Lee Dorsey than Master P — perfect for a sublime Saturday night.”

  • Inner Recess Launched

Inner Recess, the in-house recording studio of Dubla Music, was establishment by Aaron Thornton in the spare bedroom of his house soon after the turn of the century. In early July 2007, an official facility was established. Located in the Warehouse District of New Orleans on Magazine Street, the new space housed a professional recording studio. It was created to provide for local musicians and artists a place to make professional-quality audio recordings. The studio progressed steadily over the years and later included an art gallery and event venue. In 2011, Inner Recess launched monthly series of art exhibits which paired local visual, musical and culinary artists. Those events led to the launch of a the Inner Recess Gallery. The gallery has the same goals as the early art parties and recording studio: to provide a space for local artists to exhibit, display and create as well as celebrate New Orleans art and culture.
