Knos has been into Djing and music production since he got his first turntable while attending 8th Grade in NYC. One turntable turned to two and a mixer, which led to a severe addiction to vinyl records. Samplers, drum machines, various synthesizers and instruments became invaluable tools as he progressed and begun to construct his own compositions from samples and original material.
Dubla (Dubla Music) played a crucial role in the development of Knos’ musical skills and was a continuous inspiration as his older brother. As the son of a pianist and composer, he sought to learn more about music theory and composition and continues to study these fields to this day. He has studied Music Production and Engineering and has a degree in this field. Knos now resides in Brooklyn, NY, and focuses strictly on his music, “improving his ends” and maximizing the opportunities presented to him.
He has collaborated and performed with artists such as Rosetta Stoned, Project Lumens, d.o.n. Juskwam, Twen Bumbs, and Pow Shadowz and has rocked loft parties with the infamously progressive DJ Raedawn (Crunc Tesla/Tigerbeat6) and DJ Fauzi (Heshima Life Project). Look for Knos at the ongoing basement/loft shows around the corner from his hideout in Bushwick.
