<–Juskwam bio–>

Juskwam is a prolific emcee born in Nashville, TN, and raised in Houston, TX in an era when hip hop was in it’s formative and early expansion stages. Juskwam has been developing his emcee craft, recording and performing in front of audiences since 1989. He grew up listening to Run-DMC, The Fat Boys, Rakim, LL Cool J, KRS-ONE, The Beastie Boys, Grand Master Flash and the like to name a few.

He has been working with Dubla for years; long before Dubla Music was formed.  Before linking with Dub, Kwam was mostly a freestyle emcee; not committing much of his flow to paper, yet.  “I had been freestylin’ mpst of my life until Dub asked me to see what my concentrated thought would sound like. We figured out the mix – Some ill ass lyrics tweaked with some butter beats with a dose of consciousness.” Two a-alikes that run the underground, we call it… Twen Bumbs!

Juskwam (on the mic) and Dubla (behind the board and the beats) collaborated to form the group Twen Bumbs.  With assistance from partner in rhyme Bzo and producer Knos, the group recorded the Twen Bumbs EP eye to i in the summer of 2006.

Juskwam, along with JingoBa AbeamAlight, is an integral member of another Dubla Music group, Blackring. In the spring of 2008, Blackring released their debut album Natural Signs: Wildfires. It is currently available on iTunes.

Juskwam is currently working on the second Twen bumbs project as well a solo album to be release in the Spring and Summer of 2009. Stay tuned.
